At iRecollect, I provide the opportunity to you, your family or friends, to tell these personal stories and record them for posterity. Such recollections offer an intimate link to the past and enrich our personal journey. Such memories become real through a chatty conversation with a caring interviewer.

Meet iRecollect founder, Garry Scale
Garry was born and educated in Geelong, Victoria. He studied teaching before moving to Sydney to study acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art.
Garry has had a long and varied career in the performing arts; television, film, cabaret, and theatre. He took a break from the stage several years ago, to study teacher librarianship.
Garry is now a teacher librarian/drama teacher at Clovelly Public School in Sydney.
As a story teller himself, iRecollect is a project Garry has always been passionate about. He believes this worthy project will be a fulfilling part of his life in the years ahead.

The iRecollect process
Our process is unique, personal and accommodating…

Initial Contact
I will send you a few pages of questions for you to ponder. These are aimed at getting the memory working. While you’re thinking about your past, you may wish to search through photos which we can add to the video during editing.

Where will this happen?
After a couple of weeks of musing over the questions, we’ll arrange a time and place for the recorded chat, preferably in your home, over a cuppa or a glass of wine.

Recording Process
I shall arrive with a discreet camera and tripod, and a small microphone will be attached to your lapel. Lights will be set up and a little powder added to a shiny face. We then press the record button.
You can stop at any time for clarification or a break. There is no pressure as editing can remove any mistakes or regrets. An interview may last an hour or longer. I’ll keep recording, as long as you have stories to tell.

Editing
After the recording, the questions are then edited out to provide a seamless and personal presentation.
Once editing completed, the final recording will be supplied on USB in a presentation gift box.
